Thank you so much for making our
Statesville and Raleigh events such a success. We had 61
in attendance in Statesville and 81 in
Raleigh.
Bruce Carlson, Scott Griffin and Butch
Herter of Carlson Software did a fantastic job in
presenting the newest features of Carlson Survey,
Civil & Hydrology. We are looking forward to more
events in more locations next year.
A sampling of comments
from attendees:
- Great
seminar!
- Very well done!
- Jennifer's info is VERY
helpful!
- Well done. Look forward to
other seminars held by same company.
- Great value for the PDHs
- (I learned that) Carlson is 1)
very customer oriented, 2) above & beyond
competitors
- Appears that Carlson is
customer friendly w/ a functional program that can
serve the small company
- When I purchase Carlson and
learn the software, my efficiency will increase
- Seminar was well thought out
and planned.
- Jennifer has this down to an
art as far as: Location (facility), refreshments
(candy), PM snacks, substance or choice of
topic

| WIPED OUT SURVEY
POINTS
I spoke to several of you at the Raleigh and
Statesville workshops who asked about Carlson points
(SPT2, SPT4, etc) that would "hide" your boundary lines
behind the symbols instead of having to trim the lines
inside the symbols.
I have created a few that I would be happy to email
you. Please drop me a note by clicking HERE and putting "Carlson
Point Symbols" in the subject line.
CARLSON PROJECT FOLDER STRUCTURE
I also promised several of you that
I would create a default project directory for storing
and organizing Carlson project data. I have defined one
directory structure that is loosely based on Land
Desktop and have also assigned the different files to go
to their proper folder. For instance, it assigns all .CL
files to go to the Project\Roads\CL folder.
This requires you to load a .PRF (Project Folder)
file and a .DSF (Data Type Sub-Folders) file. Again, I'd
be happy to email these to anyone wanting these
files.
Please drop me a note by clicking HERE and putting "Carlson
Project Folders & Files" in the subject
line. |

| AUTOCAD TIP OF THE
MONTH |
|
| RECOVERALL
RECOVERALL is a new command in Autocad 2008.
From Autocad Help:
The selected drawing file and all attached xrefs,
including all nested xrefs, are opened, repaired,
resaved, and closed.
- Drawing files are saved in thecurrent drawing
file format.
- Copies of the original drawing files are saved
as BAK files.
- If the object enabler is present, custom objects
are updated.
Note: The RECOVERALL command recovers or
audits DWG, DWT and DWS files.
