Meet That CAD Girl - Jennifer DiBona


Jennifer DiBona has approximately 18 years experience working for various consulting firms in North Carolina and Illinois. She specializes in design and grading of site development and residential subdivision projects of all scopes and sizes. She has a degree in Surveying Technology and specializes in the Autodesk and Carlson families of software including Autocad, Land Desktop, Civil Design and Civil 3D and Carlson Civil Suite.

In addition to her production roles, Jennifer also developed the Technical Services Division for an Autodesk reseller to provide software customers with technical support, custom training and drafting & design services.

In 2004, Jennifer became a full-time independent consultant doing business as That CAD Girl providing training, technical support and other various consulting services for her customers. She has also focused on new technology in the construction industry and has spoken at several trade shows about the management and preparation of files for GPS-guided machine control systems. She is proficient in TakeOff software by Carlson Software and is helping grading contractors make the transition from paper-based to CAD-based estimating.

Jennifer has taught several Autocad classes for the continuing education departments of Coastal Carolina, Sampson and Johnston Community Colleges and is certified through the NC Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors to provide continuing education credit to licensees.
